Brief Overview The Forex markets are quickly becoming the choice of many investors for diversification. Namely due to the convenience and unlimited potential this arena provides. At SFP, we focus our sole attention on the currency markets and though much of our trading is performed by fully automated systems, we still maintain a watchful eye on each day's action. Our automated and semi-automated systems are balanced to trade select pairs. Our best systems were designed exclusively by us and not available through any other currency firm. Therefore we have something extremely unique to offer those interested in diversifying in this market arena. If you're sitting on a retirement account that's showing little growth or negative growth, you may have the option to place a portion of it under our management without incurring a penalty. Please check with your account manager to see if a portion of your account is self directed. If so, that's good news. Considering the current economic environment, you're going to need special attention to put life back into your investments! And if you can think of any objection why you wouldn't want SFP providing account growth for you, please send us an email. Remember, you must first have an account setup at the broker in order for us to manage it. If you plan to have your account under an IRA umbrella, the broker will need to send you the correct paperwork. You cannot setup this type account online. Once you have emailed us with your intentions, we will email the correct broker's name. Soon, we will have an offshore option available as well. We offer a $10,000 and $5,000 entry account minimum The $10,000 Platinum account has it's performance fee withdrawn at the end of each month. The performance fee is 28% of net profit. The $5,000 Standard account has it's performance fee withdrawn at the end of each month. The performance fee is 35% of net profit. NOTE: If you open a standard 5,000 account, you must remain at this level for 1 year before moving to the Platinum account level even if your account grows beyond $10,000 within 12 months. Of course you can open an additional Platinum account if you like and you are still free to stay or go at your discretion. We will allow you to deposit an additional $5,000 to your original deposit if you desire to move up to the Platinum level. This must be new money and not money earned by our system trading. Should you desire to pull several thousands out of your account from trading profits to bypass our policy, you must wait 90 days before applying to old balance in order to move up to the Platinum level. *Once the quota of smaller accounts has been reached, our account minimum will be set at $20,000. NOTE: Both accounts must maintain their minimum entry balance unless the balance was reduced by trading. If a client's account drops below $10,000 for more than 30 days, the account will be placed under the $5,000 performance fee structure. If a $5,000 account drops under $5,000 for more than 45 days, we will stop managing the account. You will have the option to bring the account back up to the reserve amount at your leisure. At that point, we will start managing your account again. For those unfamiliar with performance fees in this industry, the forex markets command higher performance fees because the account growth is typically much better than most mutual funds. There is significantly more daily effort that goes into managing a forex account than most other type accounts. At SFP, we take a very active role in managing your account and therefore the results can be seen in your account. So month on month or yearly, your returns should be significantly better in spite of higher performance fees. **We reserve the right to limit the size of very large accounts. As long as our liquidity providers are filling the orders appropriately there shouldn't be an issue. NOTE: The quickest way to expediate the process is to visit the broker's website and click on the "5" minute application link at the top right corner of home page. From there, follow the instructions for creating an account. Note: The process will likely take about 20-30 minutes to complete for the typical discretionary account. The process is longer for IRA accounts. Broker account questions should be directed toward the broker. Please wait for confirmation from the broker that your account has been established before faxing the paperwork from our SIGNUP page. The paperwork on our website only grants us the permission to trade your account. It does NOT establish your account with the broker. Thank you.
Our system management Because our Forex systems are fully automated, they can trade several times per day and remain active in the market much of the week. Our automated systems are structured to trade several currency pairs at the same time. This approach should prevent huge draw-downs at any given time. Our systems do incorporate hard stops and targets. You can expect some daily draw downs from time to time. But on the average we expect growth to between 5-10% each month. The typical risk allotment for our automated systems allow us to trade 1-5 mini contracts for every $10,000 of equity available. This is spread across more than one pair. Most of our automated systems utilize a percentage of the account equity, typically 1-2% per pair. NOTE: For a better explanation, utilizing 1 or 2 percent of an account for margin is NOT the same as risking one or two percent of the account equity. Typically the risk will be more and based on which system is trading, risk could be as high as 2-3% of the account equity. Although those figures aren't set in "stone", this should give you an idea of our trading style. Because this industry attracts many inexperienced individuals who think they can make a fortune overnight (with your money), we caution you to be very careful in your selection of a forex manager. With our systems, you should be resolved to risk up to 30% of your original account balance. We have not experienced such, but that should be the resolve of each account holder. The reasons a currency account with SFP can deliver higher returns than many other investments are: a) because the forex markets are uniquely leveraged and very active... b) because our systems are designed exclusively for the Forex currency market... c) because of our minimal fees. Account access Due to certain account structures, your account may need to be flat (having no active trade) at the time of a withdrawal or deposit. Therefore we plan to be out of the market by 4PM EST most Fridays. Please plan ahead for a request of funds or for depositing additional funds. Note: This may not be relevant for every broker. Understanding Automation I feel I need to clarify exactly what a fully automated system is by stating what it's not. It is not a financial "lottery" ticket. It is a system well thought out and well designed to handle a number of market conditions without any human interference. The specs and conditions are hard-coded so the system responds the same way every time those conditions are present. Money management is given a top priority in any well designed system. Most of the automated systems I see, go for very small targets and have very large stops. Rarely will your account survive that logic long term and/or provide much growth. Secondly, it is not fuzzy Artificial Intelligence some would make you think exist just so they can sell a product. As a designer, if you can't explain exactly how your system works, it likely won't... at least for long! (Not that anyone would reveal their logic, but should be able to do so). Most will never understand that developing a profitable and consistent fully automated system is an extreme daunting task, but it can be done if the right combination of expertise is applied and usually after many years of trial and error. Only a few have been able to accomplish this goal! There are many "snake oil" salesmen peddling some type automated system they state will generate ridiculous returns. Many are outright lying and others may be "honestly" mistaken due to lack of experience. While demo accounts may give you an idea how a system could perform, be assured real trading can provide further slippage and reduce the positive results. I suspect many demo account statements provided as proof of performance have been doctored or the timeframe referenced has been optimized. Therefore we do not provide hypothetical performance reports. What you read on our LIVE track record page is real growth on real money! Remember, a person usually gets what they pay for. If you pay 97.00 for a system, what exactly do you expect to get? Many others are more ambitious and charge much higher prices and many do not honor their money back guarantee. There are a number more things that could be said about the pursuit of automation. Just know, caution is the word to the wise before putting any money down on a fully automated system whose claims have likely been hyped by clever marketing. We designed our very own currency systems from years of experience and they are NOT for sale or lease!
